What Users Can Do In Analysis

This page will introduce what users can do with Analysis pages that designers have designed. It is important to know what functions there are in order to make full use of Smart eVision Analysis when you are analyzing data. Come and explore together!

  1. Login:
    First, log into Smart-eVision. Please enter your username and password and select whether to login automatically or remember your username.

  3. Smart eVision Portal:
    This is Smart eVision's portal. The username, project folders and other more detailed functions are on the top. Note that users will only be able to view the project folders and pages they are authorized.

  5. Self-service Analysis:
    In an Analysis page, although the designer has already constructed a data model, users can still adjust it to their specifications. Click the Data Schema button to adjust what data you want to see. Columns, rows, measures and parameters are all adjustable. Users can also make changes to charts types, color management, and do calculations. Self-service analysis allows users to really customize their own analysis without much communication back and forth with IT members or page designers.

  7. Save and Share Your Analysis Version:
    When adjustments are done, this new version can even be saved and shared with others. Click Save Custom Analysis and give it a name. Check Share if you want to share your insights with other users who are authorized to use this page.

  9. Save Custom Analysis As Default:
    Furthermore, this custom analysis can be saved as the default version. Click Save As Default on the toolbar. The next time you open this page, this custom analysis will be displayed by default.

  11. Comparison Analysis On The Facet Chart:
    Finally, this facet chart function is quite convenient for comparing statistics of different times. For example, one may want to compare the regional sales of three different years. To accomplish that, check the charts of different years and click Combine Chart. These three charts will be merged into one, where you can clearly observe the sales conditions of different years.

    Try out these Analysis functions to help you analyze deeper and more easily. Also, don't forget that you can share your analysis with others and gain insights together.
